FAQ
Common questions.
Is Zest Legal a law firm or a migration agent?
Zest Legal is an Australian law practice providing immigration legal services. Unlike registered migration agents who are not lawyers, Australian immigration lawyers can provide legal advice on broader legal issues affecting your visa application.
How much will my matter cost?
Every matter is quoted individually. Once we understand your circumstances, we confirm a fixed professional fee and the scope of our work in writing, so you proceed with complete clarity. Department of Home Affairs visa application charges and other government charges are separate.
Can I pay in instalments?
Legal fees depend on the type of visa, the complexity of your circumstances, and the assistance required. At Zest Legal, we provide personalised quotes and generally offer fixed professional fees for an agreed scope of work. Our fees and services are confirmed in writing before you engage us. Government visa application charges and other third-party expenses are separate.
What's the difference between the free call and the $330 consultation?
The free 15-minute call is a quick chat to understand your situation and explain your options. The paid consultation is a dedicated advice session where a lawyer assesses your circumstances and recommends a strategy.
Who pays for an employer sponsored visa?
The business pays the sponsorship and nomination fees. The employer and employee agree who pays for the visa application itself.
Do I need to meet you in person?
No. We are a fully online firm and work with clients across Australia and overseas by phone and video. Meetings at our Surry Hills address are available by appointment.
